Inspired by the immense natural forces that created the basalt formations of the Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland, Pyroclasm imagines a leap across the sea to the Clyde shipyards, where similar human forces were used to build iron ships.
Pyroclasm (translated as "broken by fire") explores the idea of the intense heat and pressure required to create the basalt "rivets" of this natural phenomenon and the similar forces involved in fastening ship hulls.
